I usually don’t make posts like this unless I’m thoroughly disgusted with the company in question and have exhausted all possible remedies to resolve the situation.

So, this situation started out when one of my long-time clients decided that they wanted to upgrade all the computers in their office for two reasons; first, they had multiple versions of Windows running on their user workstations (Windows 2000 & Windows XP Pro.) Second, they wanted newer hardware to last them into the future.

I suggested Lenovo hardware because IBM sold their PC business to Lenovo around 2004 and Lenovo had apparently been manufacturing IBM’s lower-end hardware for a while before that.

So, the other day I was driving through a decidedly redneck part of town more officially named West Melbourne when I came across the marquee of a store called “Ammo Attic.” Now, the name conjures up all kinds of nightmares set to banjo music but then again it’s a hunting and fishing store situated in West Melbourne, Florida so it’s quite fitting.

I should admit that I’ve actually been in to this store and purchased ammunition there so just know that I’m not judging this place based on it’s outward appearance.

What strikes me is that the people who run this business would feel the need to display a marquee like this. They’re obviously SO upset that their presidential candidate lost the 2008 presidential race by such a large margin that they need to make a wing-nut proclamation that the new president will repeal the second amendment to the US constitution.

Yes. President Obama is going to repeal the second amendment thereby causing you and your customers to “kiss your gun rights goodbye.” OK. I know the KoolAid that Fox News serves up tastes good and all, but try something new once in a while. Think for chrissake!

The reason is either that or they’re trying to increase their gun sales using the government as a reason.

Fear not simple folk, no president could screw up this country more than your (obvious) last presidential choice. So don’t worry things will improve for you too as soon as President Obama reverses all the idiocy that George W Bush enacted. Idiocy that he likes to call law.
